Celiac Disease is a genetic auto-immune disorder. Those with celiac disease are forbidden from consuming wheat, rye, spelt or barley. Currently, there is no cure for the disease. Rebecca was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2003. Initially struggling with the adjustment to the gluten-free lifestyle, she and her husband now embrace it. Our goal in keeping this blog is to keep track of the discoveries we make and enlighten others.

That's exactly what it was like for me, I was always exhausted and in pain. I would frequently get sick after eating and had no idea what was wrong. Sometimes when I would wake up my hands and legs would be so numb they were unusable. I went through test after test until one RN said my symptoms sounded like Celiac disease, and I had no idea what that was. I started feeling better within a week too.
